Dyersville is the biggest town we serve and one of the simplest to reach — a straight twenty-mile shot east on Highway 20, about twenty-five minutes from our lot, no gravel in between.
What we are built for here is home events. Dyersville already has good indoor space; if you book a room at the Commercial Club Park events center or the city Social Center, those places handle their own bookings. Where we fit is everything that happens at a house. The acreage outside of town. The backyard graduation open house. The machine shed reception. The driveway that needs a hundred chairs for one Saturday afternoon and then never again.
That is a real market in a town like this. Dyersville has about 4,477 people and plenty of them live on ground with room to host. An acreage party is exactly the situation folding tables were invented for, and exactly the situation where nobody owns enough of them.
Every rental is the same: 100 folding chairs, 20 six-foot tables and chair dollies, all in one trailer. $250 if you hitch it up yourself, $350 if we deliver it and come back for it. The dollies matter more than people expect — rolling a stack of chairs across a yard beats carrying them four at a time, twenty-five trips deep.
Graduation season pulls hard here because there are two schools in the mix. Beckman Catholic is right in Dyersville and Western Dubuque's elementary is in town with the high school over in Epworth, so open-house weekends stack up through late May and early June.
The town straddles the Delaware and Dubuque county line, and it is better known nationally for the Field of Dreams site and the Basilica than for anything to do with folding furniture. We are not in the tourism business. We are in the business of making sure your yard has enough seats.
